Kind is an activewear collection by the Mexican brand ORN. The photographic brief brought together energy, freedom, harmony and self-care, reflecting the enjoyment of sport and a healthy way of living. The images needed to give those ideas a visible, everyday expression.
We chose locations with natural light and opportunities for shadow, using open sky, vegetation and architectural details as part of the composition. The surroundings gave the collection space, while gesture and movement kept the focus on the people wearing it.
Light, setting and gesture.
The outdoor photographs let the setting contribute to the feeling of freedom. Natural light creates changes in depth and tone, helping the clothes sit within a scene rather than appearing as isolated products.
In the studio photographs, sporting poses carry that same sense of movement. The two approaches give the collection different contexts while keeping its central ideas in view: activity, ease and an enjoyment of being in motion.
